AVIS/IBERIA - MEASURE LIFE WITH EXPERIENCES
After last year’s successful campaign, Avis wanted to continue their partnership with the Spanish airline Iberia in providing the ideal holiday combination.
2016 was a year of celebration for both brands, with Avis celebrating its 50th birthday and Iberia celebrating the 70th anniversary of their first transatlantic flight, from Madrid to Buenos Aires.
These milestones made this a great opportunity to celebrate Latin America as a potential holiday and road trip destination, and to position Avis Iberia as the partnership of choice for anybody making that trip.
Inspired by the fact that life is all about the unique experiences we collect along the way, we wanted to celebrate the two anniversaries by showing customers how they can maximise their travel experiences with Avis and Iberia through a social media campaign.
We sent the famous YouTuber Diego Pons on a trip he’ll never forget, enjoying 70 different experiences around Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica and Mexico, using Iberia to cross the Atlantic and Avis to travel around Latin America.
The campaign was a resounding success, reaching over 230,000 people and generating 865,836 total video views.
Seeing Latin America through Diego's eyes helped our target audience to see the possibilities that the Avis and Iberia partnership opened up - and to jump start the travel bug, too!
